Xact Data Discovery Obtains Safe Harbor Certification
Latest measure underscores XDD’s commitment to data security in all e-discovery matters
Mission, KS—July 15, 2014—Xact Data Discovery (XDD), a leading international provider of discovery and data management services for law firms, corporations and government agencies, announced today the company has achieved EU Safe Harbor certification. Obtained to demonstrate its compliance with the EU Data Protection Directive, XDD followed the certification process developed by the U.S. Department of Commerce in consultation with the European Union.
XDD has seen significant growth in several discovery service offerings including data hosting and review and its managed review business. The company also performs forensic data collections, which are increasingly required to be performed internationally. XDD chose to pursue EU Safe Harbor certification in response to its continued growth in this area to ensure optimal security is in place to protect client data.
EU Safe Harbor certification is the latest security measure achieved by Xact Data Discovery and further emphasizes the company’s continued commitment to privacy laws and data security. XDD’s data center in Dallas, Texas, maintains highly secured intrusion and access control systems, including top of the line physical and cybersecurity control management. The facility is also ISO 9001 and SSAE 16 Type II (SOC1) certified.
