Today, the average smartphone “has more computing power than all of NASA when it put the first men on the moon in 1969,” and the vast majority of your key players and other custodians have one in their pocket. Smartphones are owned by 81% of adults in the United States, and users spend more minutes each day on their smartphones than on traditional computers. The shift from traditional computers to mobile devices is also affecting the way employees conduct business, with a majority now using texting for business purposes and a wide range of collaboration and communication apps now available.
As a result of these shifts, mobile devices – especially smartphones – are turning up frequently as relevant sources in litigation. Unfortunately, smartphones and other mobile devices present a range of unique challenges and complications.
In this free, one-hour educational webinar, XDD Director of Education Matthew Verga, JD, will review several aspects of the mobile device discovery challenge, including:
• What materials and information they contain
• Collection options and applicable limitations
• Management and review of acquired materials
• Relevant case law and available guidance
We look forward to seeing you on the webinar.
